About Google Maps Lighthouse
This 11.5-meter square cylindrical wood tower, painted white with red roofs, was first lit in 2001. It stands on the south side of the Pigeon River entrance and the east side of Main Street (MI-25) in Caseville, Michigan. The lighthouse structure is mounted at one end of a three-story wood condominium building, a unique design integrating a navigational aid with waterfront development. It casts a white light with one white flash every 10 seconds, visible for 13.2 nautical miles. The facility is privately maintained and open to the public, with tower tours available by appointment.
Why it matters: The Caseville Harbor Light is important for recreational and fishing vessels entering Caseville Harbor from Lake Huron. Its integration into a condominium building represents a distinctive modern approach to maritime infrastructure.
