About Frying Pan Shoals Light Lighthouse
Constructed in 1966, this cylindrical tower stands on a Texas-style platform. The light was first activated in the same year. The structure includes a lantern and gallery positioned at one corner of the square base. Although it ceased operations in 2003, the lighthouse remains a notable feature in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of North Carolina.
