About Falkenberg Lighthouses Lighthouse
This cylindrical lighthouse, standing 13 meters tall, was built in 1964 at the end of the north breakwater leading into Falkenberg. It is painted white with a narrow red horizontal band and features a lantern and gallery. A square skeletal tower was recently added to the top of the structure. The light emits white, red, or green flashes on an 8-second cycle, visible for 10.7 nautical miles. The station was first established in 1926, but the current tower dates from 1964. The focal height of the light is 11 meters.
Why it matters: The lighthouse is indispensable for safe navigation into Falkenberg's harbor, guiding ships through the breakwater entrance with its directional light system.
