Deep River Islet Lighthouse

A square pyramidal wood tower, painted white, stands 8 meters tall on an island at a sharp bend in the Deep River. First lit in 1913, the structure replaced an earlier station established in 1873. Its white light flashes once every 4 seconds and is visible for over 12 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated about 16 kilometers southeast of the town of Deep River, within the region of Ontario. It is managed by the Canadian Coast Guard and remains an active aid to navigation.
