A cylindrical concrete tower, 7 meters tall, stands on a square pyramidal concrete pier. It is painted orange with a black vertical stripe on the range line and features a lantern and gallery. First lit in 1903, the current structure replaced an earlier light that utilized the same pier. The tower's focal height is 10 meters, and it emits a continuous green light. Its geographic range extends to 10.4 nautical miles, guiding vessels along the specified range line. The lighthouse is situated on a marshy island within the Îles de Contrecoeur National Wildlife Area, northwest of Contrecoeur.
