Constructed in 1857, Charity Island Light is situated on Big Charity Island in Lake Huron. The lighthouse stands 14 meters tall, with its focal plane reaching 12 meters above the water. Its light was first activated in the same year it was built. The station is no longer operational. The lighthouse is located off the coast of Au Gres, within Michigan's Eastern Lower Peninsula.
