Constructed in 1912, this hexagonal concrete lighthouse stands 31.5 meters tall on a small island southwest of Caribou Island in Lake Superior. The tower features six flying buttresses supporting the lantern and gallery. It emits a single white flash every 15 seconds, visible for 15.3 nautical miles. The original 2nd order Fresnel lens, once housed within this structure, has been relocated to the Coast Guard Base in Parry Sound. The site is managed by the Canadian Coast Guard and remains operational.
