Cap Blanc Lighthouse

🇨🇦Percé, CAOperational

Also known as: Cap Blanc (Percé)

An octagonal concrete tower, standing 7 meters tall, was constructed in 1915 on Cap Blanc, Quebec. This lighthouse is painted white with red trim. It is located about 2.5 kilometers west of Percé, near a campground and adjacent to the famous natural arch that gives the town its name. Although the station was established in 1874, the current tower has guided mariners since 1915. Its operational light ceased in 1956, but the structure was recently repainted. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself remains closed.

Why it matters: The lighthouse is significant for its integration into the local landscape near Percé's natural arch and for its role in the region's identity.
