Also known as: Canso Harbour (Hart Island)
A white, cylindrical wooden tower, 10 meters in height, stands attached to a one-story wooden fog signal building at Hart Island. First lit in 1872, this structure marked the northern entrance to Canso Harbour. While it is no longer operational, having been deactivated in the 1960s and replaced by range beacons, its original lantern has been removed. The lighthouse is situated approximately 800 meters northeast of the town's waterfront. Today, the Canadian Coast Guard owns the property, and Parks Canada manages it as part of the Canso Islands National Historic Site.
