The Bridgeport Harbor Lighthouse stands 16 meters tall with a cylindrical, skeletal tower. Its light, a single green flash every 3 seconds, is situated 15 meters above sea level. The current structure was first lit in 1851, replacing an earlier lighthouse that was destroyed by fire in 1953 during demolition. This station was established in the same year the first light was established, 1851.
