Originally featuring a hexagonal lantern, it was later replaced with the current design. The light emits a continuous green signal, visible for 9.3 nautical miles when aligned on the range line. It is located on the west side of the Rivière Bécancour's mouth, about 8 kilometers southwest of the port of Bécancour.
