Both ships grounded in Turkey. The two had been struck in the Black Sea before being abandoned, then drifted until they ran ashore on Turkey's coast in late August 2026, according to Splash247 and Maritime Executive. Video from both outlets showed the ships stranded at the waterline.

One was a Turkish cargo ferry. IR-Press reported on 27 August that it came under attack from Ukrainian drones, one of several ships hit in the same wave of incidents.

United24 Media confirmed the groundings.
