The Turkish Navy salvage ship TCG Isin reached the wreck site off Kyrenia on September 1 to join the search for 20 people still missing from the Filo Jet disaster. It carries a remotely operated vehicle for work at depth.

Eight died.

The Filo Jet capsized on August 30 on the Kyrenia-to-Tasucu crossing, with 267 aboard. Of those, 239 were rescued alive. The wreck lies roughly 514 metres down, about four nautical miles from shore, according to Shippax. That depth put the site beyond standard surface operations; the TCG Isin, which had sailed from Canakkale, was sent to address it.

Nine people face detention, among them the captain, seven crew members, and one company official, on suspicion of causing death through negligence. Five more remain under investigation, including port officials.
