A drone struck cargo ship MV Baryon on September 2 as it sailed from Novorossiysk toward Karachi. Fire broke out. All 23 crew were Indian nationals and none were hurt. The fire was brought under control and MV Baryon pressed on toward Pakistan, marine news services reported. The attack came a day after the Indian Coast Guard called off the search for 22 crew of MV Ocean Winner, which sank in the Bay of Bengal. Earlier in August, Turkish operators had suspended all Russia Black Sea services after a drone destroyed one of their ships.
