Bizerte is a sheltered port on the Mediterranean Sea in northern Tunisia. It handles bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, and general cargo vessels. The port is equipped with tugs and a large drydock.
Background
Bizerte is the capital and largest city of Bizerte Governorate in northern Tunisia. It is the northernmost city in Africa, located 65 km (40 mi) north of the capital Tunis.
