Fiskarstrand ligger på nordsiden av øya ved Humlesundet, langs 657Fylkesvei 657, omtrent 5 km øst for kommunesenteret Langevåg og 2,5 km vest for Mauseidvåg. Det har vært dyrket mark og bosetning her siden 1630-årene, mens navnet Fiskarstrand først er kjent fra 1701. Det er også funnet vikinggraver her.
