About Yeondong Hang Lighthouse
A 10-meter tall, red, cylindrical concrete tower is located on the main breakwater of Yeondong harbor. Set at a focal height of 12 meters, its light covers a 11 nautical mile area. The light flashes red every 5 seconds (Fl R 5s), marking the harbor entrance. The site is accessible to the public, providing views of the harbor and coastline, but the tower is not open for entry. The lighthouse is approximately 6 kilometers north of Gampo, within the North Gyeongsang province of South Korea.
