It is situated on a reef approximately 2 kilometers south-southwest of the Russarö lighthouse in Finland's Uusimaa region. The tower features a red color with a single yellow vertical stripe and carries a large rectangular daymark. Its light emits a white flash every 45 seconds, visible for 13.6 nautical miles. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: This lighthouse serves to warn vessels of a reef, aiding navigation in the complex waters south of Hanko.
