This cylindrical concrete tower, painted red, stands 18 meters tall and was first lit in 2018. It is situated on a rocky reef approximately 963 meters west of the Shag Reef Range Front light. The lighthouse emits a long flashing white light with a 4-second cycle. Its focal plane is also at 18 meters above sea level, providing a geographic range of 12.7 nautical miles. The site is managed by the Lyttelton Port Corporation and is open for visitors to view from a distance, though the tower is closed to the public.
