About Sangage Lighthouse
The Sangage lighthouse, built in 1925, features a distinctive red, hexagonal concrete tower standing 26 meters tall. White horizontal bands adorn its exterior, complementing the structure which includes a lantern room and gallery. Originally displaying a white flash every five seconds, its focal plane is 93 meters above sea level. Although no longer operational, the lighthouse has a geographic range of 19 nautical miles. It is located on a headland, approximately 35 kilometers from the city of Mozambique.
