A cylindrical concrete tower, 48 meters in height, displays black and white horizontal bands. It was built in 1914 and stands 49 meters above sea level. The lighthouse emits a white flash every 10 seconds, visible for 18.5 nautical miles. The structure is round and concrete, with keeper's houses and other light station buildings surrounding it. It is located near the AL-HAMD Container Terminal, 17.4 kilometers away.
Why it matters: This lighthouse guides ships approaching Karachi from the west around the headland of Ras Muari. Its original 2nd order Fresnel lens, still in use, represents a significant piece of maritime heritage.
