Punta Mita Lighthouse

A cylindrical concrete tower standing 16 meters tall, the Punta Mita Lighthouse displays a red and white checkered pattern. It was built to replace a shorter skeletal tower, enhancing navigational capabilities. The light's focal plane is 21 meters above sea level, casting a white light with a characteristic of one flash every 12 seconds. This structure is situated on Punta Mita, a sharp cape at the northern entrance to Bahía de Banderas. The lighthouse is located within a traffic roundabout on the cape, approximately 1.2 kilometers from the nearest port.
