A 15-meter tall cylindrical tower built in 2011, first illuminated the same year. It is a round, tapered, two-stage structure with a double gallery, constructed from concrete in its lower portion and fiberglass in its upper portion. The light displays a single white flash every 12 seconds, visible for 12.7 nautical miles. Located at the bend of the primary breakwater, it reaches a focal height of 18 meters. This structure serves as a reference point for vessels entering Pozzallo's commercial harbor.
Why it matters: This navigation aid marks the end of the main breakwater, assisting vessels entering Pozzallo's commercial port. It is particularly important for the ferry route between Sicily and Malta, helping to prevent navigational problems for ships arriving or leaving the harbor.
