About Onsan Hang North Breakwater Lighthouse
A cylindrical concrete tower, standing 10 meters tall and painted red, previously marked the northern side of the Onsan harbor entrance. Its light, red in color, was positioned 30 meters above sea level and provided a geographic range of 6 nautical miles. The tower was part of the maritime infrastructure for the busy port located on the southern edge of Ulsan, South Korea. Satellite imagery confirms the light was removed in 2016 following a shortening of the breakwater it served.
