Located just offshore west of the entrance to Tongyeong's traditional harbor, the Jangseo Lighthouse is a 13-meter cylindrical concrete tower. Its upper section is painted yellow and its lower section black, creating a distinct visual marker. The lighthouse emits a white light with a characteristic of a single white flash every 15 seconds. This navigational aid stands 12 meters above sea level and has a geographic range of 11 nautical miles. The site is accessible, but the tower itself is closed to the public.
