About Ingu Hang East Breakwater Lighthouse
This square steel tower, standing 6.5 meters tall, was built in 2023 to mark the eastern breakwater of Ingu harbor. It is painted red and emits a red flash every 5 seconds, visible for 11 nautical miles. The structure replaced a previous red skeletal tower, enhancing navigational safety for vessels entering the port. The light’s focal plane is 12 meters above sea level. The breakwater site is open to visitors, though the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: This light is essential for local fishing boats and commercial traffic entering Ingu harbor, helping them avoid the breakwater.
