About Hujin Hang Lighthouse
This red, cylindrical concrete tower stands 12 meters tall at the end of Hujin harbor's main breakwater. Its lantern and gallery are situated 14.9 meters above sea level. The lighthouse emits a single red flash every 4 seconds, visible for nearly 12 nautical miles. It replaced an earlier, shorter skeletal tower. The structure is located about 1.5 kilometers southeast of Mulchi Hang in Gangwon State, South Korea.
Why it matters: The lighthouse provides essential visual guidance for vessels entering Hujin harbor, marking the breakwater's terminus and ensuring safe passage in a frequented coastal area.
