Completed in 2006, this active lighthouse stands on a reef offshore from Dangjin-si, South Korea. The cylindrical concrete tower measures 17 meters in height, with its focal plane at 15 meters. Its exterior is painted with the upper half black and the lower half yellow. This structure emits a quick white flashing light, visible for 11.9 nautical miles. It is situated approximately 5.7 kilometers from the nearest port, Pyeongtaek.
Why it matters: Positioned opposite the entrance to Pyongtaek harbor, the lighthouse serves as a warning of the reef, guiding vessels safely into this significant South Korean port.
