A slender, cylindrical metal tower, 16 meters high, stands 1.6 kilometers north of Unyonggot and approximately 11.5 kilometers from the nearest port of Hwasun. Built in 2012, its structure features horizontal red and white bands. The focal height is 15 meters, and it emits a white flash every 5 seconds, with a geographic range of 11.9 nautical miles. This lighthouse was accessible only by boat. Although the site remains open, the tower has been closed to the public.
Why it matters: The lighthouse was essential for ships approaching Hallim Hang, a significant port, helping ensure safe passage through the coastal waters.
