A square concrete tower, standing 6 meters tall, was constructed in 1920 at the western tip of Iceland's Svalvogar peninsula. The tower, painted orange with a red lantern, features a gallery and emits two long white, red, or green flashes every 20 seconds. Its focal plane is 52 meters above sea level, providing a geographic range of 19 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated between the Arnarfjörður and Drýafjörður fjords. While the site is accessible to the public, the tower itself remains closed.
