Constructed in 1967, the lighthouse is situated on a promontory north of Krapets, approximately 10 kilometers south of the Romanian border. Its geographic range is 16.4 nautical miles. The lantern has been removed from the structure. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself remains closed.
