It stands 10 meters tall with a focal height of 14 meters and is painted green with a metallic gray dome. This lighthouse emits a green light with a single flash every 10 seconds, visible for 11.6 nautical miles. The structure includes a lantern and gallery, and while the site is open to the public, the tower itself remains closed. It is located approximately 5.1 kilometers from Dumyat, Egypt's nearest port.
Why it matters: This lighthouse clearly marks the western breakwater for vessels approaching Damietta port, aiding safe passage into one of Egypt's significant maritime gateways.
