About Cayo Arenas Lighthouse
Also known as: Cayo Arenas (?)
This masonry lighthouse, standing 17 meters tall, is located on the outermost islet of the Cayos de los Siete Hermanos archipelago, approximately 10 kilometers off Punta Rusia in the northwestern Dominican Republic. It features a red tower topped with a black lantern, and its focal height reaches 20 meters. The light emitted a white occulting flash every six seconds, with a geographic range of 13.2 nautical miles. In 2018, powerful hurricane waves overturned the structure, rendering it inactive.
