About Bieungdo Hang East Breakwater Lighthouse
This concrete lighthouse, built in 2008, stands 12 meters tall and displays a red light. It features a cylindrical tower with three ribs, topped by a lantern and gallery, reaching a focal height of 14 meters. The light emits a single red flash every 5 seconds, visible for 11.6 nautical miles. Originally established to mark the entrance to a small boat harbor at Bieungdo, it was relocated to a new pierhead between 2019 and 2020. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed.
