Located on a promontory at the southeastern tip of Jeju, it is situated approximately 3 kilometers southeast of Tongnam in the Korea Strait. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed to visitors. The nearest port, Seongsan-po, is 3 kilometers away.
Why it matters: The lighthouse guides vessels navigating the busy Korea Strait from its position on a significant headland at Jeju's southeastern tip.
