The lighthouse stands on a small island approximately 3 kilometers east of the mainland village of Agios Dimitrios and 5 kilometers northwest of Kanatadika on Euboea. Its focal plane reaches 32 meters, emitting a white flash every 5 seconds with a geographic range of 15.7 nautical miles. It marks the eastern entrance to the Oreon Strait, a waterway separating Euboea from the mainland.
