FORTE arrived at South Padre Island, Texas on 7 October 2026, according to Basenor. The Boskalis heavy-lift ship had spent nearly two and a half months at sea crossing from the Indian Ocean, where SpaceX Starship Ship 40 had been recovered after a mission splashdown. Ship 40 is back in Texas.

FORTE departed Christmas Island on 28 August with Ship 40 aboard. The ship was spotted off South Africa in September. Engadget had reported an expected arrival in Brownsville, Texas around 8 October. Basenor reported it made port a day ahead of that.
