This concrete lighthouse, 10 meters tall, stands at the west end of a detached breakwater on Ōita's eastern side. The cylindrical tower, painted white, is 13 meters above sea level at its focal plane. It features a flared top and is connected to an equipment shelter. The light displays a green flash every 6 seconds, visible for 11.3 nautical miles. Access to the site is by boat only, though the tower itself is not open to the public. It marks the breakwater for vessels approaching Ōita.
