Established in 1965, the Abashiri East Breakwater Lighthouse is a round, cylindrical concrete tower standing 13 meters tall. Painted white, it is situated at the northern end of Abashiri's east breakwater in Hokkaido Prefecture, marking the entrance to the port. The structure features a lantern and gallery, with its light positioned 14 meters above sea level. A unique decorative element on the tower depicts a clione, a sea angel native to the Sea of Okhotsk. This light emits a single green flash every 4 seconds and has a geographic range of 11.6 nautical miles.
