About Yunosiri Kō Lighthouse
Yunosiri Kō is a red, cylindrical concrete tower located at the end of the west breakwater in Yunosiri. Standing 11 meters tall with a focal height of 12 meters, it emits a flashing red light every four seconds. The lighthouse offers a geographic range of 11 nautical miles. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed. It is situated approximately 7 kilometers southeast of Nyūdō Saki.
Why it matters: This lighthouse guides vessels into Yunosiri harbor, providing a clear signal for safe passage along the west breakwater, particularly for local fishing boats.
