A 12m white concrete post structure with a lantern stands on a square, one-story concrete equipment shelter. Located on the southern point of Yoko Shima, it is about 3 km northeast of Ōbae Hana. The light, at a focal height of 20m, produces a white flash every 4 seconds, visible for 13.2 nautical miles. Access to the site is permitted, though the tower remains closed to the public. The lighthouse marks the area for ships approaching Hirado, a port 3.4 km distant.
Why it matters: This light provides navigation marking for the southern end of Yoko Shima island. It assists vessels in safely passing the island's coast, northeast of Ōbae Hana.
