It is located on the southern tip of Ostrov Askol'd in Russia's Primorsky Krai. The current structure was erected in 1976, replacing an earlier lighthouse. The light emits a single white flash every 6 seconds and has a geographic range of 26.2 nautical miles. The lighthouse is attached to a keeper's house constructed from masonry. Its predecessor marked the first lighthouse established on Russia's Pacific Coast.
