About Xiǎolājiā Lighthouse
Xiǎolājiā Lighthouse is a round, cylindrical concrete tower completed in 2008. Standing 10 meters tall, its lantern is positioned 16 meters above sea level. The structure features a gallery and emits a white flash every 8 seconds, visible for 12.2 nautical miles. It is situated on the easternmost point of a small, uninhabited island southeast of Hùtóuzuǐ, near the port of Huizhou. Access to the island is by boat, and while the grounds are open, the tower itself is closed to visitors.
Why it matters: This lighthouse warns vessels navigating the waters off the coast of Huizhou about the presence of the island, helping to prevent groundings.
