Wagu Kō East Breakwater Lighthouse

This red concrete post lighthouse stands 9.5 meters tall on the original east breakwater of Wagu, in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Attached to the post is a square, single-story concrete equipment shelter, also painted red. The structure's focal plane is 13 meters above sea level, emitting a red occulting light that flashes once every four seconds. Its geographic range extends to 11.3 nautical miles. The lighthouse is located on the breakwater extending into the sea, marking the entrance to Wagu Port. While the site is open to the public, the tower itself remains closed.
