About Tsurikakesaki Lighthouse
This cylindrical concrete tower, standing 26 meters high, was painted in alternating bands of white and red. Its focal height reached 146 meters above sea level. The lighthouse was designed to emit a white light with a single flash every 15 seconds. Its geographic range extended to 23 nautical miles. Although no longer operational, the structure remains on the Kyushu-West Coast.
