About Tronstadodden Lighthouse
Tronstadodden lighthouse is a 13-meter concrete post topped with a lantern and gallery, painted white with a red roof. It is located off the east coast of Håøy island, approximately 2 kilometers northwest of Drøbak in Norway's Akershus region. The lighthouse emits a directional light, showing white, red, or green flashes on a 10-second cycle. It once disappeared from the official Norsk Fyrliste but was later reinstated with an elevated focal plane. The site is accessible by boat and open to the public, although the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: This light is important for vessels navigating the Oslofjord, providing directional guidance around Håøy island and toward Drøbak.
