Constructed of concrete, the octagonal white tower, measuring 32 meters in height, was built and first lit in 1929. It rises from the seaward side of a 1-story keeper's house and is topped with a lantern and gallery. The light emits a white flash every 10 seconds, visible for 16.2 nautical miles. The lighthouse site is open to the public, though access to the tower itself is restricted.
