About Torodden Lighthouse
Also known as: Torodden (Fagerstrand)
The Torodden lighthouse is an active aid to navigation established in 2008. It stands on a concrete base, featuring a 4.5-meter octagonal lantern painted white with a red roof. The light emits a continuous red signal. This modern structure replaced an earlier station that began operation in 1893. The original lighthouse has since been moved to the Trondheim waterfront. Torodden is situated at the end of the breakwater in Fagerstrand, accessible via a short walk.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is important for marking the breakwater at Fagerstrand, ensuring safe passage for vessels entering and leaving the harbor.
