Togawa Kō Lighthouse

This red concrete post lighthouse, standing 9.5 meters tall, is situated at the southern end of a detached breakwater that shelters Togawa harbor. Its operational equipment is housed in a square, single-story concrete room at the base. The light emits a single red flash every 4 seconds, visible for 11.3 nautical miles. The lighthouse is located in the lee of Inubō Saki, guiding vessels into the harbor entrance. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.

Why it matters: This lighthouse is critical for the safe navigation of vessels entering and exiting Togawa harbor, particularly given its position at the south end of a detached breakwater.
