This cylindrical fiberglass tower, painted red, stands 12 meters tall and emits a red flash every 10 seconds. Flared at the top, its total focal height reaches 14 meters, providing a geographic range of 11.6 nautical miles. Located at the west end of Semarang's detached east breakwater, the structure replaced an earlier light. The site is accessible by boat, though the tower itself is closed to the public.
Why it matters: This light marks the end of the east breakwater, defining the safe channel for vessels entering and exiting the port of Semarang.
